Figuring Out The Visual Aesthetic & More Modelling Done

Hi again. I spent a lot of the past few days working on more model stuff. Yesterday I fixed the shelf up, and also modelled a table. Today I wanted to see if I could do 2 models, so I made a chair and that cool lamp mockup I did in Koikatsu.

I’ve still gotta texture both of them. The chair’s gonna look closer visually to the table. The red and black was just a placeholder for me to figure out the model. I’m almost done getting the texture map right on the lamp. Luckily texturing stuff doesn’t take nearly as long as modelling because most of what I’m doing is applying gradients and making sure the lines look right.

I also messed with some visual effects as well. The 3d plugin came with bloom and chromatic aberration, then I picked up another plugin that came with a CRT filter. I spent a while fiddling around with them and I think this is more or less how it’s gonna look. The effects are also gonna be able to be turned off in case it gets too distracting for some people.

I’m almost done with models I think. The last couple I wanna do are some of Sasha’s furniture and then maybe one or two more pieces for the library.

Also I haven’t forgotten this is a weight gain / stuffing game lmao. I just got really lost in figuring out the visual aesthetic. Luckily, I think that working on other stuff and becoming familiar with the feel of stuff is gonna help me figure out how to do sprites, especially since I can do fixed camera angles for cutscenes.
